no they each say the device is working properly. 

 

the computer freezes whenever i plug anything into the any usb port

I have found some info on the problem after installing SP3 on Dell and HP machines, From

 

a) The Chipset Driver gets forgotten about with the update.

b) The USB Drivers have to be uninstalled, uncluding the  Plug N Play driver, the PC restarted and then let the PC find the new hardware and install.

c)  For Symantec and Bit Defender users a Microsoft Hotfox.

i tried the first 2 solutions and they didnt work. i feel that i do not understand the registry solution enough to try it

You may have to find someone who knows how to get the correct mount points to delete and how to fix that part of the registry in front of the PC after upgrading to SP3,  I have no idea how to do that over the net.

 

It's only the 3rd PC I have come across 2 of them I was in front of a long time ago, that had this problem.
