"afd.sys is a legitimate Windows system file that is not to be deleted, it is just infected with TDL3, the file has to be cured or disinfected, not deleted.

Please re-read Quads' post again. He specifically stated that you CAN'T delete the file because the computer needs it to run. You need to get assistance to have it swapped out with an uninfected file. Go to one of the free malware removal forums in the second post for help with this.

90+% of the time the file for TDL3 infected driver file won't have to be swapped with a clean backup compared to when TDL3 first appeared, it is a lot easier now to fix.
