Norton 360

Hi everyone, I get this error when trying to install 360 v2.

------- Preinstall Scan Results -------


Access rights scan summary:
11 folders scanned.
12 registry entries scanned.

Installation error scanner completed successfully.

InstallDefs: pDefUtils->PostDefUpdate() failed for HUB.

I tried with Norton Removal Tool as adviced, but no luck, if I click on "Continue" start the installation, however when is about 70% after install 360 and when is installing Symantec core .... Somethig happen, and roll back teh installation.

Any ideas?

You are able to skip the pre install scan.

have you tried that? This way you can install and scan the machine later

 I guess not, its not posible, it just give two options, "join the comunity" and "scan for viruses, etc".

I´ve tried with both enabled and disabled, but its the same. I don´t know how to disable the pre install scan, or if its possible.

I am thinking that would be better to go back to NSW 2007 and NIS 2007. Those programs worked great.

It's before the things you described.

If 2007 is doing the job for you than please keep at 2007
