What product are you installing? You should attempt to download it again. Please see the following article (it says Norton 360 v4, but the download links will download v5).

I am trying to install Norton 360 v.5, and I have retried installing it at least 10 times now. It's not helping.The same message reappears no matter what.

Is there any malware on your system or do you have other security programs installed, either of which could block the installation?

There is a virus the computer used to have. It makes programs challenging to install, so yeah, that might be the problem.
