GPS,
as I had already mentioned in the other thread where you have mentioned the same issue, please try to assign a password to the Limited User Accounts and then restart the computer to check if the issue still persists.
Please try this step and let me know your feedback.
This is indeed an User interface issue and is not compromising the security of your computers in limited accounts.

yea, limited and admin have passwords. Just check the first page. (my very first message was back in May 2008).
My point is that whatever bug is causing 360 to have problems in "limited accounts vs admin accounts" may also be the bug that is causing Firefox processes not to shut down. For example if 360 "user interface" doesn't like to play nice with firefox too.
Anyway nice to know other people are the same problems.

What I do not understand is that you raise this in a thread, are responded to by two gurus - each giving you valid proposals to resolve your problem but you fail to answer either of them.
See the link here.

I've just seen an example where another user has used a workaround to fix a Red X - Intrusion Protection issue using Vista, it seems to have fixed the problem for him. If anyone can reproduce the results it would be a big help. Please refer to post number 11 in this thread.
Thanks

Hi Guys,
Good news.
Please run LiveUpdate to get the latest program updates for Norton 360. Your product version should be 2.4.
This will resolve this issue.
Cheers !!!

Glad to hear you are making progree with this arc2006. However for me the issue remains. I'm running 360 as Admin, but all the limited user accounts on my machine appear as having intrusion protection turned off.
Are you aware of any other users still having problems or are you able to resolve this for me?

I have verified that I now have v2.4.0.4 and yes, I still experience the problem. Since my upgrade to N360 v2 in Apr2008, I have always gone the Symantec Tech Support route for all my N360 v2 problems, but after having been told to make a clean re-install of N360 v2, I finally decided to check out the Symantec User Community.
For the benefit of all N360 v2 users that experienced this same problem, I would like to share the following:
In the next few days, I will be repeating the same experiment to see if I can get repeatable results. I am trying to confirm my suspicion that: N360 v2 (and Liveupdate) needs to complete its initialization tasks within a pre-determined time frame right after pc start-up, otherwise; it will flag red.
