Hi first time in the community as a N360 user, spent a lot of time in Symantec forum with Backup Exec.
My issue is that after performing a partiton of my C Drive the process crashed and as a result left my hard drive with no partition record, i have tried to recover files using recovery software but can only recover RAW files that cannot open, not sure if anyone can advise on that seperate issue of recovering data from a hard drive with no partition and no hardware faults .....
However i have had N360 automatically performing background backups and as a result on a seperate hard drive has 200Gb of Norton backup data, i am trying to perform a restore of this data but when i click on the task of restore in N360 and select the default location that backup is stored it only registers 1Gb of data that can be restored, i have performed this and it basically restores all data to the dektop that was there before but none of the documents, pictures etc that i actually need.
My question is how do i recover the remainder of the 200Gb of data as the data is physically there to be recovered but N360 is very limiting as to viewing all the folder structure etc. it basically says there is 1.4Gb of data and thats all you can do, is there anything that can be edited like the database or a file renamed that will fool the software in to reading all data.
Really would apprecaite any advice as the live data and backup contained photos from my travels :-(
Thanks in advance for any help and advice, much appreciated.

Hi Sam
According to your operating system goto the location.
Win7/Vista/XP = 32bit=C: --> Program Files --> Norton 360-->Engine-->Copy the arestore.exe and paste in your Hard Srive that is having the Backed up data-->Open that file and ' Select Files to Restore '
For Win7/Vista=64bit --> C:Program Files (x86)--> Norton 360-->Engine-->Copy the arestore.exe and paste in your Hard Srive that is having the Backed up data-->Open that file and ' Select Files to Restore '

that advice worked perfect for me, kind of.....
had to also import the arestore.loc file into the same directory in order to open the exe file. it still gave the same results as previously stated, i decided to move the database file from the backup directory and place this in another location, once i did this it took about 20 minutes to recreate the database file and i was able to restore around 150GB :-)
Thank you very much for your help
Sam
