security "ticks"

Some time age the norton security used to place a tick "v" beside every site when I was searching google. It's been a while since it stopped. I would like to know why this happened, and if Norton will protect me if I try to enter a non-secure site

Hi EVI1968,

Can you tell us which browser you use?  Please make sure you have the Norton Toolbar enabled.

Dave.

Re: security "ticks"

OK,

Click the orange Firefox button and go to Add-ons > Extensions.  You should see Norton Toolbar and Norton Vulnerability Protection.  Please enable both and restart Firefox.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks,  Dave.

It seems it's time to upgrade to Firefox 11 as FF4 is outdated and may not have all safety patches.  You can down load Firefox 11 form here  -  http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html.

Also,  Please read the following post by Tim_Lopez.  -  http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Attention-Firefox-3-4-5-6-7-or-8-users/m-p/678455/highligh...

Thanks,  Dave.
