I have already bought a Norton subscription but I keep getting the message my subscription will expire in so many days - what do I need to do

This may be because you have not activated the Norton product with your new Product Key or subscription renewal key. If you can tell us the Norton product and version you have, we can provide you the steps.

Prigilbert,
If you have the new Product Key or Subscription key, use the following Symantec KB to renew the subscription for your Norton product:

Yogesh -- that link seems to take me to how to buy a new subscription ...... ?

I think Yogesh's link is for renewing the product. Here is the support article to enter the Renewal code:

First time I've seen Step 2 as routine -- excellent idea to check the Date/Time accuracy before activating.

Please "talk" to Norton Customer Support via the CHAT route as below and they can sort things out if you bought on line from Norton.
When you buy a Norotn product on line tehy send you and email with the KEY in so check your email spam/junk folders including at your ISP since many have spam filter on their servers and since the email with the KEY is sent by a "robot" it can trigger a spam filter.
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there. You may have to scroll down a little to see the SCAN button.
You can choose CHAT or Email; email or phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
Please let us know how you get on ....
