svchost.exe High Disk Usage/Network Usage

Norton 360 alerted me with a high disk usage from svchost.exe. I've read that that is somewhat normal but no one mentions how there's so many actions performed with svchost.exe. Whenever I open up the File Insight of svchost.exe, there's hundreds of actions performed in the 'Activities' tab and when I go to network it always shows a lot of connections and stuff. Here's what it says:

Re: svchost.exe High Disk Usage/Network Usage

Hi,

Welcome to Norton Community!!

Sorry for the delay in response. Please go through the information provided in a similar thread:

http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/High-Disk-Usage/td-p/581398

If you suspect a virus, you can try Norton Power Eraser or Norton Bootable Recovery tool.

Thanks,

HarryP
