that is the prob. Ver 1.0 does not work good with IE8.

i am waiting for :

1. a fix to the prob.

2. new ver that will have add + pop up blocking.

Sicne you noticed this after obtaining a Windows update, then either the table was corrupted or reset.  You could try an uninstall/reinstall of Norton 360 to see if we can re-inject ourselves into the WMI table.  That, or you could try repairing the WMI table which may not succeed as the table itself may be fine.
