Anti-Theft Plugin for Android Force Close

Hi   :smileyhappy:

Had a issue yesterday with NAT Plugin with my Xoom tablet and NTS.

Unlocked Xoom and found a Norton icon in the notification bar saying

Norton Anti-Theft disabled and the following message when selected-

Log in required please enter your Norton account password

.

Now if i tapped on the message to login to account  i was given force

close message, so i did that. And everytime i try to login to Norton

account using the message i get force close.:smileyfrustrated:

Then if i open NTS UI Anti-Theft shows as status connected and the

green tick.:smileysurprised:

But still there is the icon and message in the notification bar to login to

Norton account. Strange.:smileysurprised:

Login to Norton Anti-Theft website and Xoom shows as online and location

available on the map.Strange again.:smileysurprised:

Try to open the message in the notification bar again and get force close

again, open NTS UI and Anti-Theft is now showing as Download and Install.

Select download and install and taken to Market where it shows that NAT

Plugin is still installed and only choices given are Open and Manage.

So last resort before uninstalling NAT Plugin is application manager in

Android settings and to clear data from NAT plugin. Done open NAT

re-register and launch NAT Plugin all ok, open NTS UI Anti-Theft all

seems ok.

Not sure what is going on.?? Any ideas.??

Cheers.:smileywink:

Re: Anti-Theft Plugin for Android Force Close

This is actually very much like an issue that I was able to reproduce.  The issue that I was able to reproduce is fixed in the next update (can't tell you the date for when this will release though).  The short of it is that this should be fixed soon.

Re: Anti-Theft Plugin for Android Force Close

Hi Erik

Thanks for that info.:smileyhappy:

Not sure if it is linked but about a month ago i was browsing the web using the

default Android browser with the Xoom when the browser closed on it's own a

the Norton icon and message popped up in the notification bar that Anti-Theft

had been disabled, but it only lasted like a second or two. It happened a few

times 2-3 over a week.

Recently i have been using multiple browsers like Oprah, Firefox, Dolphin HD,

xScope and the new Norton  Identity Safe Beta browser so i have not done

enough browsing with the default to have had any recent issues.

Thanks again.:smileyhappy:

Cheers:smileywink:

That's a seperate issue that was reported in the forum.  I know that QA was unable to reproduce it.
