Re: Download Norton Anti-Theft plug-in

Hi Altieris.

I know English is not your first language so as a native English speaker may I thank you for asking your question in English.

As I understand your problem you have downloaded and activated Norton Mobile Security to your phone from the Norton servers and not from the Android Marketplace.  Now you would like to download Norton Anti-Theft plugin from the Android Marketplace but the Android marketplace says that it is not available.

If this is the case I suspect it is because NMS is not available via the Android Marketplace where you are.  For places where it should be available you might like to look at the relevant knowledgebase posting at:

http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Mobile-Knowledge-Base/Norton-Mobile-Security-availability-at-A...

If your country is not shown yet then I would not expect you to be able to get NMS or the plugin via the Android Market.  The fact that you have been able to obtain and activate a copy of NMS separately will not alter this.

The list of countries is constantly growing so, if I have correctly identified your problem, all you should need to do is watch the Knowledgebase and wait until the products are rolled out where you are.

If I have misunderstood or been unclear then please feel free to ask again.

Re: Download Norton Anti-Theft plug-in

Hi Andmike

The problem is with the device, says it does not accept the version of android (android 2.1 mini Sony Ericson x10). For Norton Mobile Security said the same after I downloaded the file on the website of Norton and installed and works perfectly. I want to do the same for Norton Anti-theft plug-in downloading the file .apk.

Re: Download Norton Anti-Theft plug-in

Hello again Altieris.

Sometimes I have found that the market says that something is not suitable for my device, when what it actually means is that it is not available in my country.

Can you confirm that you are in a county listed in the Knowledge base posting?

How are you attempting to download the plugin?  Are you on the Market on your computer or have you loaded the Android Market app on your phone?  What country are you in?

Re: Download Norton Anti-Theft plug-in

To confirm, you installed Norton Mobile Security first before attempting to install the NAT plugin.  Is that correct?

What version of NMS do you have installed?

Re: Download Norton Anti-Theft plug-in

Yes

First installed the NMS and then tried to install the NAT plug-in.

The NMS version 2.5 is installed on phone.

Re: Download Norton Anti-Theft plug-in

You should have a link to the Android Market entry from within NMS.  Have you tried to access NAT that way instead of onyour PC browser?
