Sneak Peek NOT working

I just purchased Norton Anti-Theft v 1.1.0.23 and activated it for two devices, a Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone runnning Android 4.0.2 and a Lenovo W520 lapop running Win7 Pro 64bit.  Both devices have cameras that work fine.  Both report their location back to Anti-Theft.  Neither will send back a photo.  On the Lenovo I see the green camera light go on and off but Anti-Theft reports "Failed to take a photo. Please try again later.".  On the Nexus I get the message: "We were unable to receive a picture from your device"

Since the problem occurs for both devices I suspect the problem is with the web interface.

Advice or suggestions?

Re: Sneak Peek NOT working

Hi David8-

Sorry for the trouble you are having. I suspect that you are correct, that the issue lies with the Web site and not the devices you bought. I will notify the team to look into this immediately.

Re: Sneak Peek NOT working

My sneak peak is not working either.  I cannot find any troubleshooting options for the sneak peak.  There are options for if I have lost my device, but not for the sneak peak, which to me is  test to insure that it would work if lost or stolen.  How do I troubleshoot this problem to get it working?

Re: Sneak Peek NOT working

Hi Jody912384.

Welcome.

As your device needs to be connected to the internet for the Sneak Peek feature to work at all, first make sure it has a good internet connection wither by mobile data or Wi-Fi, then make sure that the device camera(s) have clear views (you cannot be sure if it will try to use the front or back camera if you have both), then ask it to get a Sneak Peek.  If all is working you should see the image on the website fairly quickly.

If it does not work - post what device you are using, what version of Android and which version of the Anti-Theft software you have loaded so that the back room gurus can have a look.

Good luck.

Re: Sneak Peek NOT working

I have 2 Dell 1545 laptops neither is is saving the picture. The integrated camera light comes on but the Anti theft website says it failed and to try later.  I am using version 1.1.0.23.  Am I missing something.

And yes I have a good connection to the internet.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Sneak Peek NOT working

Hi aszotten.

I had exactly this a little while ago.  I don't understand why but uninstalling and reinstalling the NAT-plugin cured it.

You may, or may not, want to try this.

It did not take long.

If you do try it please let us know the result.

Good luck.
