Well, I don't understand either, but it worked.

However it was not so easy to uninstall, since the application has some kind of adminitrator status, and I need to use some tools to unlock it. The regular uninstall was greyed out.

I'm delighted it worked but now puzzled about the odd uninstall.  On my device the normal Setting: Applications: Manage, screen leads to a simple uninstall.

However it worked which is the main thing.
