Hi everyone-
What do you think about the Sneak Peek feature? Is it working for you? What features would you like to see on the Sneak Peek page?
Any feedback you have on this is super helpful as we continue to improve the product!

Joe,
Conceptually, Sneak Peek is really cool. And it works pretty much as advertized. I was relieved to see that it did not trigger the flash when it took the shots LOL as that woulda been kind of a giveaway! I do wonder about maybe having at least an option for it to keep taking photos for longer/store more of them, as one of the more useful functions I see for this would be remote home monitoring (for PCs, or for tablets while the device is on its dock).
Which leads me to my other comment--which is that a whole bunch of the cases for these tablets cover the camera, meaning that odds are, if I just left the thing somewhere (and almost certainly if somebody picked it up and took it), Sneak Peak isn't gonna be able to capture a thing. And that makes me think about perhaps adding an option where it could record audio instead. That could be just as useful if we just left it somewhere, as we might recognize a voice, or hear ambient noise that would suggest a location or something--and it would work even if the case was closed.

What if Sneak Peek waited until there was some "keyboard" input before it took the photo? Then you could be fairly sure that there was no cover on and that there was something to see.
This might be an option in case it has just been left lying around but if after an initial try you get only a blank result you then might tell it to await local input before taking the next shot.

Hi,
I tried it right after I installed the RTM build on my machine, and it's a great feature.
Maybe one thing could be added, the program should take pictures with the best quality the device can do. Aka the program should detect somehow, how big picture can the camera take, like 640*480, 1,2MP, etc., and upload the picture with that size. This way the picture's quality would be better, and also more details could be recognised on the pictures (like a church in the window or something like that :D).

I was going to say how it could be better, but when I finished typing, I realized I could turn this into a multi-milliion dollar deal.

LOL; good luck with that! ![]()

Hey everyone, great ideas! As far as the camera being covered...sure this is something that could happen but people seem to think it's better to have the option to take the picture, even if someone or something is covering the camera, than to not have it. The idea of recording audio in the event we cannot take a picture is a good one. We will have to examine how we can implement that in a useful way.

Hopefully posts are still being reviewed on.
I tested Sneak Peek via web to my Galaxy Tab 10.1(HC3.2) and Nexus S(G2.3.4) all upgraded to yearly paid subscriptions.
This add-on works on both devices well.
Galaxy Tab send me a good picture with its front camera, which I believe to be normal, whereas Nexus S takes pictures with back cam in huge shutter sounds twice every time I test.
In short, Nexus S always peeks not the front but the pitch-black back as long as you put it upward.
One more thing did make me scratch my head is that system sounds turn automatically off only after taking shot with the huge double shutter sounds.
It is understandable Tablet has no Remote SMS but why does Nexus S peek with shutter sounds on Back Camera?
And turning system sounds off not before Peek but after Candid shutter clicks?
Please let me informed whether this is only on my android or else to be updated.
Thank you for your good applications and hard works to make them better.

Hi
Sneak Peek ideas for Android Devices-
had a idea what about Sneak PeekTube![]()
a live video stream from the forward facing camera, now that would be cool to catch the burglar with. You could follow them every step of the way and even post there mug on YouTube for all to see and find, now that is community policing.
Anyway i know that is not possible for the time being but who knows what the future holds.???
Otherwise i agree audio would be pretty cool feature or just to have a auto call answer on the device to track the location from the audio the microphone picks up weather it is the theif or just lost or misplaced. Might work.???
Just some ideas for you JoeK
Cheers
