Nothing that can be avoided; seems like rather a problem with my vista installation. It seems like it restores back to a previous configuration without a reason. As a result, both avast free and norton safety minder got eradicated.
Now, I do know that this sounds like a virus behaviour but it isn't. :)
In any case, I've reinstalled safety minder and all is ok now.

Hi Gagahumps,
Besides the Web activity, what about Time restrictions, or other activities, none of the them are available?
If you log onto the PC using the "monitored" child's account, is any Web activity logged?
Thanks,
Katie

I too am having the issues described here. It started last week, I uninstaleld it completely and removed the device from the online portal. Reinstalled, setup and all was good. Now, same thing : the tray icon doesn't show up it and when I look at the description (by right clicking the tray and selecting "customize" it says in grayed out text "Norton Saftey Minder has not completed Setup. Click..."
What to do? I've been using it for well over a year without issue and all the sudden having all kinds of disconnect/disabled issues.
Help!

So I got on his profile and started looking around in the Tools was a privacy program that would block sites from getting information?? I think this was what was setting this off

Hi Gagahumps,
If you have everything setup correctly, please also make sure the child doesn’t log onto the PC using a account that is not being monitored.
Thanks,
Katie

Hi Paul1315,
What happens if you log onto the PC as the child (using the monitored Windows account) and visit a website that's supposed to be blocked, does it get blocked?
Thanks,
Katie
