I want just to describe a problem an the solution I found.
Right after I installed the safetyminder.exe, all web browsing was blocked for all users of the computer, even those who did not have a profile associated.
I could still ping internet addresses by number and by name, but when I try to browse the internet I only get blank pages. No error messages
I have tried stopping the Norton Service and disabling it, but even then I cannot browse the internet.
As soon as I uninstall it the problem goes away.
The problem was due to a conflict with NOD32 antivirus installed on the same PC.
The solution is to open the advaced settings of NOD32 an to disable HTTP control under the menu "Antivurs and Antispyware->Web access Protection->HTTP"
