Device not listed under Device List - unable to add - not receiving Notifications

I just realized that a device that IS listed as being monitored under Manage Settings; Child List; Profile for (Child); How (Child) Connects to the Internet, IS NOT listed under Device List.  I just tested my child's User Account and it successfully blocked me from accessing sites that are blocked, but I am not getting notifications of this activity.

Under Manage Activity; Device List I have tried to "Add Device" but I get the message "You are attempting to install a version that is older than the one currently installed on your computer."  I tried uninstalling Safety Minder but my computer would not allow me to.  Dell has been helping me with my computer software but they suggested I contact Norton with help with their software's issues.

I hope someone can help resolve this problem.

Thanks so much!

Hi nkpug,

What you see the device listed at Settings -> Profile online?

Thanks,

Katie

Re: Device not listed under Device List - unable to add - not receiving Notifications

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear.  What I described in my original post was online under Settings.  Under my child's profile both devices are listed, but under the "Device List" only one device is shown.

This is a rather new development.  Both devices (our laptop and our desktop) at one time showed in both places and I received notifications of activity from both computers.

Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Device not listed under Device List - unable to add - not receiving Notifications

Hi nkpug,

Thanks for the information.  Device list displays the devices' alerts.

If you see both computers under Settings -> Profile and activited, then the program should work fine.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thanks,

Katie
