Hi,
I have two questions please:
1. Is there a way to configure NOF to send me an email with timestamp when the child login to the computer ?
2. Is there a way to restart the NOF client remotly ?
Thank you,
GL

Hi GurionLev,
1. I'll pass the feature request to the team. The program currently doesn't send an email with timestamp when a child logs into the PC.
2. Can you please provide some information on why you need to restart the NOF client remotely? If you meant that for some reason Norton Safety Minder is disabled, then the program checks this every five minutes. If it's disabled, the service will restart in five minutes automatically.
Thanks,
Katie

Hello Katie,
Thanks for #1
As for #2, I do get this notification:
Norton Safety Minder on <Computer name> used by <Child Name> has been disabled. Therefore, Norton™ Online Family cannot monitor the Internet activities of your children. Go to your child's computer and restart Norton Safety Minder.
So, if the client is a service that re-starts itself or the exec has an internal watchdog,
then the message is mileading since there is no need to go to the child computer and restart it.
It will be a good idea to get another notification that the service is up and running again i.e. the computer is monitord again.
Also, can you please tell if the client writes down/up messages to Windows event viewer ?
Thanks,
GL

GurionLev,
Thanks for the feedback. I'll pass the suggestion that sending a notification to the parent when the service is up again to the team for their consideration..
As for the messages to Windows event viewer, is there any specific information you are looking for?
Thanks,
Katie

Hello Katie,
I would like to know if the events that the client is disabled and fact that after 5 minutes it restarted and the process is back live,
are written to Windows Event viewer.
Thanks,
GL
