I currently have Firefox 7.01 and although I see that N360 v5's toolbar is now compatible with Firefox 8, I'm still waiting for verification that Norton Safety Minder 2.2.0.38 is also compatible, or that a fix will soon be made available. Thanks.

jhayann1,
Thanks for the inquiry. The new update that supports Firefox 8 will be released soon. We will update the thread when it's available.
Thanks for your patience.
Thanks,
Katie

One thing I think many on this thread don't realize is that Firefox themselves could do a bit better and not break everyone every time they release. We are not using any non-standard non-documented features, but they continue to break even the most basic of functionality. If this were the only thing we were working on I would agree that it would be no problem to stay lock step with them, however we have to continue to work with IE, Chrome, Safari, on both Windows PCs and Macs. As you can see it becomes a fairly large task to continue to maintain such a large list. Firefox happens to be the one releasing the most and also the one that continues to break standard functionality.
Just my 2 cents for what its worth.

I understand Firefox's position on constant changes/updates making their browser more secure, but the 6-week schedule does seem so quick. As soon as I've downloaded one update on our 4 (soon to be 5) computers, the next update's already out. And then I usually wait a few weeks to a month before I even grab the update so that I can be sure that the Norton toolbar and Safety Minder are compatible as well. As frustrating as it is to download the constant updates, it's still much better and less of a loss on me as a consumer because there's less likely a chance of me having to suffer from glitches or crashes, being hacked, losing data, or having my indentity stolen.
Thanks for the update on Safety Minder; looks like I'll be working on downloading FF & norton updates today. I just downloaded over 11 items for Windows in the last week. It'd be nice to actually be able to use my computer instead of going around updating/waiting. ;-)

Norton Safety Minder will update automatically. In fact I believe it checks every 4 hours if there is an update available and does so automatically.
This patch will ask for a reboot as one of the core pieces had to change and a reboot was necessary.

I feel the same way I have Crome, FF, explorer, Opera, and Safari. FF is the best for us!

I agree with you Mozzila need to slow down a new update every six weeks is a lot.

Hi Lanman14444,
Thanks for sharing your thought with us. We are currently working on the latest update to be compatible with Firefox 9.
Thanks,
