I loaded Norton famil on my son's pc which at the time of install had the name of minipc2 under windows 7. The pc name was later changed to something more descriptive and today i have discovered that subsequently his account has not been monitored since the name change.
I logged into Family control and deleted the minipc2 name which was no longer in use and tried to add the pc again as a device under its new name. This was not possible. I then tried to login on the minipc to get it to access Family control and hopefuly add itself to the monitored devices. The minipc will not accept the correct username and password and repeatedly tells me they are wrong. The fact is they are correct as they are the details I have used to log in to the norton family website on my other pcs today without any issues.
I can no longer uninstall re-install norton family on the mini pc due to the allged password conflict and I can't get it to access the online family account to register it as a device.
Help greatly appreciated as i am stuck.
regards,
podman

Despite not being able to uninstall in admin mode without using the email and password which were correct but repeatedly rejected I was able to unsintall via admin safe mode without having to enter the unliked yet correct details. I have since reinstalled and all is well strange.

Hi podman,
Thanks for the update. If you experience the issue again, please remove the network cable first then try to uninstall/reinstall NSM. For details, please read the post at http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Online-Famil
