Hi all, I've just installed Google Chrome and Norton Safety Minder doesn't appear to be operating - none of the websites are blocked and I don't receive emails when my child is surfing the web even though it's enabled. Do I need to manually connect the two together? If so, what do I need to do? Thanks, GH

Do you have any browsers on the machine?  Do they work?

What Operating System is running on the machine, ex Windows XP?

Hi Katie,

We have IE which used to support Norton Safety Minder but also no longer does - even though the plug-in is apparently enabled. The previous versions of Firefox used to - but then it automatically updated to v.14 and I understand NSM isn't supported on it yet.

Windows 7 is running on the computer.

I'm baffled as to why NSM isn't incorporated into any of the browsers anymore? None of the settings have been changed and it's fully operational. Norton 360 is working fine.

Since it used to be working, please make sure you log onto the PC using the Windows account that is being monitored.

Do you see any other activities, like time restrictions monitored?

Do you still see the Norton Safety Minder icon in the system tray active (not disabled)?

Do you see the child's profile online is protected (in green)?

Hi Katie,

This issue has been successfully resolved - I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton Safety Minder and it's now working.

Not sure what happened exactly, but thank you for the prompt responses - much appreciated by a worried mother!
