Hi
I have read this topic http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Online-Famil
I am running 2.3.0.7 on Windows 7. the PC is joined to the child's school AD and they log on with AD accounts. there is no practical way to use local accounts, they'd need to share out all their documents. I have created local accounts with the same login name as the domain login, etc.
Monitoring of activity (not time) is working fine. the problem is just the huge number of tray icons - up to 30 have been observed! And no, they do not vanish when the mouse is passed over them.
Can anything be done about this?

So I have seen this topic here for quite a while and, like most everyone else, I have had the exact same problem.
Has Norton every come up with a suitable response for this? "Don't use Active Directory" is NOT a suitable response. AD has been around for years...they need to figure out how to make THEIR software work with the industry standard!

Hi anthonyball and NCDiveBom,
I'll pass your request and question regarding AD accounts to the management team for their consideration.
Thanks,
Katie

I am having the same problem on WIndows 7 x64. Every notification windows that spawns also spawns another instance of ccSvcHst.exe. This happens about every 5 mihutes or so until the computer drags to a halt from so many ccSvcHst.exe processes running. Mousing over the notifications does not make them disappear. Each of them can be right clicked to interact with the Norton Saftey Minder program.
I am a premiere user as well.

Hi JohnRaley,
Thanks for the post. The program currently doesn't support AD accounts. I'll pass your post to the team as well.
Thanks,
Katie
