I have consistently observed that during the day, running NOF results in significant browsing delays. Then, at night, everything is fine again. I have confirmed that this is a NOF issue by disabling NOF, which results in much faster browsing during the day.
This may indicate a back-end capacity issue with the NOF servers.
Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit)
IE 9 (32-bit version)

Do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.3 installed on the PC?

This is not related to the Acrobat Reader issue. (I was the one who posted the tip regarding the Acrobat Reader issue.) I suspect that either NOF's back-end servers or its network connections are becoming overwhelmed during the day, resulting in slow browsing because the NOF client agent gets stuck waiting for a response from the NOF back-end system regarding whether to allow or deny a particular website.

Thanks for the update. I know it's very possible that you didn't notice that, but by any chance, do you know which version of Norton Safety Minder you had, then you started experiencing the issue on Norton Safety Minder 220.127.116.11, or Norton Safety Minder 18.104.22.168 or prior to both versions?
