I just install Norton Online Family yesterday and after playing around with it for a while notice something that didn't seem right. If I access a restricted site directly (type it in the address bar), I get the warning message in the web browse and I also get a message in the "Web" tab in the Manage Activity web site.
If I do a Google search for that same site and then click on the link from the Google search, I still get the warning message in the web browser but no message is logged in the "Web" tab. It's as if I never visited the site at all. I have tried this with multiple sites and never seem to get a message. To me, this seems to be the more likely way my kids would access a restricted site.
As it is now, I am not able to track what web sites my kids access through Google searches.
Is this an issue or am I missing some kind of setting that would allow me to get the alert messages?

We'll check into this. Could you provide the following information:
1. What broswer and version do you use to access websites via Goold Search?
2. What Norton Safety Minder is installed on the PC? Click on the Norton Safety Minder icon in the system tray and select “About Norton Safety Minder”. You should find the version number.

The system tray is located in the Windows taskbar (usually at the bottom next to the clock). Please see the screen shot below.
If you have any questions, please let us know.

For a browser, we use Firefox version 11
For the Norton Site Minder, we have 126.96.36.199
Logged onto my kids accout and noticed that they had tried to visit three sites (there were three tabs that contained the warning page) but I never received any notice message or alert in the management web site.
