Norton Online Family - Receive Notifications Via Text

Hi All,

Hope you can help!!!!

I must say this is an amazing piece of software but the all important feature that i cannot find which would make this software work to its full potential is the ability to receive notifications via text as featured in the video and mentioned in the advice section!

Where is it? Why is it missing/so hard to find? When will it be enabled??

Hope someone out there has answers!

Many Thanks
From Kenny

notifications via SMS are still in development, but if your phone can recieve email, then you simply add your email address of your phone to the notification area.

SMS messaging currently is not supported.

Re: Norton Online Family - Receive Notifications Via Text

Hi Kenny,

There are two ways to receive notifications via phone:

(1) Via Email (requires phone that can receive email):  In the notification area of the product settings (below), enter in the email address of the email address you use to receive email on your mobile phone

(2) Via SMS Email Alias:  Some phone carriers, like Verizon & ATT in the US, allow customers to receive SMS notifications using an email alias (for example, yourphonenumber@vtext.com [verizon], or yourphonenumber@txt.att.net [att]).  Although this isn't an official list, I did some googling to find some international SMS/email aliases, so you might find your carrier here:  http://www.livejournal.com/tools/textmessage.bml?mode=details - I saw Vodafone UK in the list there.

Hope this helps-

Best,

Jody
