The forum is for the product of Norton Online Family.  Could you tell us which specific Norton product that the Toolbar is for?

I beleive the product in question is Norton Toolbar 5.5 extension for Firefox which in my case came with Norton 360 V5.0.0.125.  While the Norton IPS 2 extension for Firefox continues to work with V4, the Toolbar does not.  Because of compatiblity issues, Firefox has disabled the toolbar extension.  A screen shot of the mentioned extensions is below.

Of course, based on the posting date, TGH was talking about the V4 beta, but the released version is available today and the screen shot is from the released version of Firefox V4.  Also, I have no idea why the orignal post ended up in this forum.

Thanks for the information.  The Online Family team is currently working on the issue intensely and will release a new update to be compatible with the new Firefox 4.

Hi All,

We have corrected the issue with Firefox 4 in the latest version of Norton Safety Minder 2.1.0.52.

The version should have been downloaded and installed on your PC via Automatic LiveUpdate.  If you don't have the latest version yet , please click on the "Download Norton Safety Minder" link on the Online Family main page at https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysafety/loginStart.fs and install it to your PC.

My firefox 4.0.1 is telling me that the add on for Norton Safety Minder is disabled  and is incompatible with Firefox 4.0.1  The same exists for norton toolbar

I don't know about FF 4.0, but the Norton Safety Minder does not work with FF4.0.1.

It is true that the Norton Toolbar now works with FF 4.0.1, but not the safety minder.

When do you expect this will be fixed, and how will it be distributed.

We corrected the issue with FF 4.0, then Mozilla just released another update 4.0.1.  We are working on the issue and it will be distributed updates via Automatic LiveUpdate.
