We haven't had any problems with Safety Minder until about three or four days ago. I thought it was our internet but after taking the time to do some testing I discovered it is Safety Minder - if I turn Safety Minder off I have VERY fast internet. If I turn it on - nothing. We haven't made any changes but I notice there is a new version of Safety Minder that has been loaded (2.3.0.18). Please advise.

SeoulGirl,
We just released a Norton Safety Minder update with version 2.3.0.19. If you don't have the latest, can you please download it from the Norton Online Family main page to see if it helps?
Do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.3 on the PC?
Thanks,
Katie

HI SeoulGirl,
Please check out the link below. The user has Adobe Acrobat Reader 9, but please try the steps the user did to see if they help.
Thanks,

I tried uninstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader and reinstalling and all helper objects (for everything) have been disabled in IE (I don't know how to do this in Chrome). Still non responsive internet in both IE and Chrome. BTW - they were disabled already.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
SeoulGirl

Hi SeoulGirl,
I know you mentioned you have Norton 360 as security product, but can you please check again to see if you have any other security also installed on the PC?
If you can’t use internet at all, it could be a compatibility issue. Please check the link below where shows the security products that the program is not compatible with.
Thanks,
Katie

SeoulGirl,
Thanks for the update. I know it's very possible that you didn't notice that, but by any chance, do you know which version of Norton Safety Minder you had, then you started experiencing the issue on Norton Safety Minder 2.3.0.18, or Norton Safety Minder 2.3.0.19 or prior to both versions?
Thanks,
Katie

I know it wasn't Norton Safety Minder 2.3.0.19. It was .18 or earlier. Does the system update automatically? If it doesn't then it was probably .18
