I read that Safety Minder can not be disabled without using a password but when I go to Fire Fox settings in the extensions I have the option to disable Safety Minder. I disabled it to see if I would be required to use a password and I was not required too! It allowed me to disable it with out a password.
This came to my attention when I received a notification that Safety Minder was disabled so I then looked to see if it had still monitored the internet activity and it had not for the entire time it was disabled.
Is there any way to stop it from being disabled with out a password? Or hide the option to disable it?

Hi Annabell530,
Without seeing the exact warning messages, and just from what you described, I think you probably see two different messages. One of them is
"Norton Safety Minder on xxx used by xxx has been disabled"
To disable Norton Safety Minder, a user is required to enter NOF account email and password.
and the other warning message is
Norton Safety Minder plug-in is disconnected or disabled on xxx
Please check the browser(s) that your child uses to see if the Norton Safety Minder add-ons is enabled. You can find it by clicking Tools -> Manage Add-ons in IEor Tools -> Add-ons in Firefox.
Even though the add-on is turned off, the program still monitors and blocks websites.
Thanks,
Katie

Yeah my email said it was disabled and would not be monitoring activity. The add-on is enabled but can be disabled without a password but if it still monitors it then that is good. It was off for a day and it didnt monitor anything so maybe it is something else.
I will poke around.
Thanks.
