I have also been experiencing the issue with the saftey minder being turned off when I did not do so.  My son specifically says he did nto do it either.  I just want know if anyone found out this is a glitch in the system and if there has been a fix for it.

How often do you receive the message? When do you receive the emails, after restarting the PC?

Please make sure you have the extensions and Norton Safety Minder Add-ons (Browser/Tools/Add-ons) enabled on the browser the kid uses.

Please make sure you have the latest Norton Safety Minder 2.1.0.37 on the PC.  We have added more features to help prevent tamper to the system.

Thanks Katie. This last time it happened I did not get any notification.  I don't usually have to restart the PC, I just go into Norton Safety Minder and turn it back on of my son.  I will check the browser/add ons tolls and definitely check my version of NSM.
