First, based on the pre-sale video, I thought time was restricted per week. I set 3 hours thinking that was for the whole week which was really cool because it would teach my kids to not use all their time at once. Then reading on this forum, I realized it was daily time.
My request would be to control time weekly.
Second request would be to have 30 minute increments daily.
Also, I noticed on another thread that the time allotment per day is PER COMPUTER? Is that true? That would be a major glitch.

Hi mattro,
The second request is available in the latest version 2
I'll add the first request to the product enhancement list.
The feature that counting time for multiple PCs is on the product enhancement list.
Thanks,
Katie

I view the lack of the ability of the software to add time from mulitple computers as a 'bug' not a 'product enhancemnt'.
We have three computers in the house and my kids bounce around from one to another often. It really makes the time management aspect of the software useless, which is the main thing I needed the software for.

I'm confused. You say that MattRo's second request (for finer time limit increments) is in version two.
After upgrading I see a checkbox allowing me to set the blocked hours in 1/2 hour increments, but the controls for "Total hours per day" still seems to be limited to full hours. I thought the request from MattRo (and many earlier users, including me) was for finer granularity in the total hours allowed.
Am I just missing how to achieve a 30 minute per day cap on usage?

I would really like to know the answer to this, as well. There have been lots of requests to have a 30 min option as the minimum time limit, rather than 1 hour. I haven't logged-in recently. Has this been done yet?

Can someone help us "geeky" and "unpopular" dads figure this out? The feature has been on the enhancement list for many months and it sounds like it should be working, I just can't make it work for me.

Hi UnpopularDad and GeekyDad,
Please make sure you have the latest version of Safety Minder Version 2.0.0.48 on the PC (You can determine this by right clicking on the Norton Safety Minder icon in the System tray and selecting About Norton Safety Minder). If you don't have the version, please download the latest Norton Safety Minder online.
Once you're on the latest version, go to Settings -> Time and select the option "Display time in 1/2 hour increments" as shown below. Click UPDATE SETTINGS button to save the change.
Thanks,
Katie

Yep, I've got that. But what I'm trying to change is the "Total hours per day" to be 30 minutes.

So I'm guessing that this (30 minutes per day limit) isn't going to happen, huh? Sigh.

Hi UnpopularDad,
Thanks for the inquiry. The feature of supporting 30 minutes per day is on the enhancement list.
Thanks,
Katie
