Norton Family

I am using norton family online in a somewhat unusual fasion (I believe) - it is on my work laptop.  While I have administrative priviledges (or least HDallowed operators), I have discovered that the ccSvcHst service cannot be disabled.  This good, meaning it cannot be tampered with.  If the process is terminated it will start up per the component configuration in two minutes.  I would like to reduce this to 1min (or even zero minutes) if possbile.  Does this need to set up using the internet security suite?  Or how best to do this.  I can past an image of what I am referring to if needed.

hi mpollack,

try this:

go to services (from run command : services.msc)

select norton internet security and open its properties

select the recovery tab -> alter the timing to whatever you want in the "restart service after:" option and apply
