Re: error

Hi brihy1,

Does it happen every time a child logs off a monitored account?  Does it happen if a unmonitored account is logged off the PC?  Please send the error message to me by email.  You can find my email by clicking the link below.

Re: error

Hi. I get exactly the same since installing NSM yesterday.

It's an error that pops up when logging off - ccSrvHst.exe Application error - and says the same thing apart from perhaps different address references.

I did wonder if it was doing it because I installed NSM on the child account without thinking instead of Admin so uninstalled, restarted then reinstalled under Admin but same thing - I get the error on 2 child accounts AND the Admin account when logging off. Although not too bothered myself I dont want the error to show when the kids log off to switch between accounts.

I searched the net but only found the same error years old relating to 360 or NIS issues where the recommendation seemed to be to uninstall and clean in full as a fix would follow, this was 2009. I assume the latest version of NSM is recent.

NSM 2.2.0.26     Framework 2.2.0.20

Using Win 7 Pro 64bit 8GB and also logon Task Scedule on 1 of the kids accounts to switch DNS to OpenDNS.

I also see standard Windows Parental Controls are on.

Re: error - ccSrvHst.exe - Application Error

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I've just emailed a screen shot and closeup too.

I have further noticed that if I'm only logged in to my unmonitored admin account then log off the error does not pop up. However it always pops up when logging of a monitored account. It will also show the error if I log off the admin account when a monitored account is still logged on.

Re: error - ccSrvHst.exe - Application Error

Oops, nope - It also gives the error if I shut down when only the admin account is logged in.

Re: error - ccSrvHst.exe - Application Error

Im looking forward to the update soon ,as at the moment this program(using windows 7 64 bit) is useless as when shutting down windows the error pops up and and a child can cancel ,the shutdown (the message box offers ok to shutdown the app or cancel to go back to windows) which then opens the desktop again. The error message box is still open and if the child then clciks ok it shuts down the safety minder ,and the child can then browse without any filtering. This should be fixed asap and is easily reproduced.
