i just set up online family and so far am very frustrated. it has taken 2 days (3 1/2 hours) on line with tech support in my computer to get this working properly. NOW..i find that while it is blocking web searches, it is NOT blocking image searches...do i have a problem or is this normal????

Hi lln22,

Thanks for the feedback.  For safe search, you might want to try to change the settings on the search engines themselves first for now to get safe search results.  The feature of filtering search terms is on the product future enhancement list.  

For example, please select the option “Use strict filter” for Google’s SafeSearch Filtering under “Search settings” link at Google page http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en to see if it helps.

I have 'safe search' turned on in both google and yahoo...but all they have to do is click "turn safe search off" and they are in whatever images they want. doesn't norton have a program to block this the same as the one to block the web activity?

The program rates websites and block or allow the domain of the websites accordingly, and currently doesn't rate individual pictures.  I'll pass your suggestion to the team for their consideration.
