Ths safety minder on my sons computer disables itself.I know he doesnt do it has ive been at his computer when it happens.Today it has happened twice.I have uninstalled and reinstalled to see if this helps.On uninstall i got a error message coulnt read it as the computer was restarting.I have downloaded safety minder and reinstalled it.Is there a reason why it disables itself.

I'm having the same problem. I hope they can fix this before they start charging us for the service.

I know she's not disabling it either. I've changed my parent password just in case.

I think that when the pc shuts down, sometimes it closes down safety minder before everything else, and if part of xp doesn't close properly it sits there and reports that there's been a disabling.

The Safety Minder tool on xxxxx used by xxxxx, has been disabled. As you know, Safety Minder is required on every computer monitored by OnlineFamily.Norton.

Can you clue the rest of us in on the solution.  I too have seen this and I know that my child is not disabeling it.

I'd also like to know the solution to this.  We too got a "disabled" report today.  When we logged in and viewed "all activity", there was a message that said "tamper alert.  norton safety minder has been disconnected.  monitoring unavailable."  But activity still showed for after that time.

Could you tell us what version of NSM you have on your children’s PCs?  You can find it by right clicking on the NSM icon (a dog paw image) in the system tray and select About Norton Safety Minder.
