Hi Katie
I installed the online family norton a few months ago. I do notice that I am having problems similar to other people in this thread. The safety minder seems to be turning itself off. I added my name to the mix and it is now turning off mine as well.
Any suggestions?
Thanks so much.
Lori

Hi pwscott61,
I appreciate your input and understand why you feel this way. The reason I sent PMs to the users was trying to see what exact settings they have and check if they are able to reproduce the error consistently. At the same time, I want to protect their privacy, such as their email addresses or telephone numbers. The forum is for discussion and communication. As soon as we find out anything that could apply to other users, we will definitely update the thread.
Thanks,

We have gotten this msg. several times in the past week, including twice today:
Hi Sarah,
The Safety Minder tool on Bernart family used by Nick, has been disabled. As you know, Safety Minder is required on every computer monitored by OnlineFamily.Norton.
Please visit OnlineFamily.Norton for more details.
Thank you,
This is an automated message from OnlineFamily.Norton. Please do not reply to this email. If you would like to disable automatic notifications for this type of event, please visit the "Notify" area on the "Settings" page and uncheck the Safety Minder Status Safety Minder is turned off in on any of Nicks computers option.
Can you please explain why? No way he has any idea how to turn off and on, however, when I check the account settings online, it says it is being monitored. Thanks!

KatieQ- I know we all take our privacy seriously, but would asking publicly "What settings do you have?" or "Are you able to reproduce the error consistently?" really have compromised their privacy? I mean...well, they ARE posting for help in a public forum where you reply in a public forum...I don't see that any of us really need to provide "...email addresses or telephone numbers...".
We'll all look forward to some real progress on this issue.
Thanks.

pwscott61,
I was trying to setup remote sessions with them to get the settings they have and reporudece the error consistently. The sessions need their emails or phone numbers to get in touch with them.
I hope it answers what you asked.
Thanks,
Katie
