I am also having this problem. I'm recently getting alot of messages that either NSM isn't running or that it has been disabled and my kids aren't doing it. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?

More details:
If I use my p/w to disable NFO for a certain amount of time in a kid's account, the curfew cut-off never happens later, even hours after the override time has ended.
Also more content screening would be helpful... They are banned from looking at a restaurant's menu page as "Entertainment & Music" BUT are allowed to see very R+ rated chats on Facebook etc.??

Hi tgordo49,
Thanks for the feedback. We will check the time issue that you mentioned here.
If you allow your kid to view the websites with "Entertainment & Music" category, please make sure the "Entertainment & Music" is unchecked at Settings -> Web.
Could you give us some details on the "R+ rated chats" on Facebook? Where did you see it?
Thanks,
Katie

Same problem. It has happened when my child wasn't even in the same town, so it's doing it on it's own. Tonight it happened while I was on my login.
The program is listed in the program list.
Windows Vista 64
Norton 360
Please email with any infromation that might help stop this.
Thanks

I have the same problem - I keep receiving activity messages from Norton about how my children have disabled Norton's Safety Minder. I know they haven't disabled it. I know this issue has existed for a long time. How can I find out what progress Norton are making with this issue?

I too have been getting this message for weeks now. With no reason or solution posted
what should we do?

Hi hweeksjr,
Thanks for the post. Please make sure you give non-administrative rights (limited or restricted) to your child’s user account and keep the password for the Norton Online Family account away from the kid. Otherwise, the kid would have the ability to tamper the program.
If you have done that and still get the message, please uninstall/reinstall Norton Safety Minder. it seems to help some users by doing that.
If you still get the message after uninstalling/reinstalling the program and you can reproduce the message consistently, please let us know. You're welcome to send me a PM. We are working on the issue in house, but haven't been able to reproduce the issue consistently.
Thanks,
Katie
