How to clone a laptop hard drive

At the moment I would just like to how to clone an entire laptop drive with all partitions being copied. So need to copy and clone the OEM, Recovery and C: Win8 OS partitions to the new drive which is of the same or bigger in size. Have Norton Ghost Corporate 11.x from Norton Solution Suite. Also if the destination drive is smaller would I need to create the image of each of the partitions first and then image them back onto the new drive (already partitioned) one by one ?

What is the best way to do this using Norton Ghost Corporate 11 ?

Thanks in advance

VictorM,

We need to see a pic of your disk management to advise accordingly/

Have a read of these simple practical step by step instructions Here  for starters.

When "Cloning" it is always better and easier to "Clone" to a slightly bigger drive.

Edit: Yes if the destination drive is smaller then you will need to resize the partitions first to fit the new drive and then run a backup of the smaller partitions.

Each partition will have to be transfered seperatly, if you run into trouble get back to us.

Norton Ghost Corporate 11 is an enterprise product. This forum is for Norton Ghost which is a completely different consumer product. You will get better help at http://www.symantec.com/connect/endpoint-management/forums/ghost-solution-suite-0

@Redk thanks for the reply. Yes you are right it is a Ghost Corporate version of Norton Ghost. I'll post again in the right forum.
