Dear Norton Community,
On April 30th, 2013, Norton Ghost will be discontinued and no longer available for sale. This board is where you can discuss Ghost issues and find more information about Norton Ghost end of life.
Norton Ghost has had a very loyal following for many years; so why discontinue it? Over the years, key Norton Ghost features such as backup and recovery have been built into other Norton products. Because of this, Symantec will not have a Windows 8 compatible version of Norton Ghost. Attempting to install or use Norton Ghost on Windows 8 may result in unexpected results, such as incomplete imaging. Norton Ghost continues to be fully compatible with the Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista, and Windows 7 platforms.
Should you still need a full disk imaging solution, we recommend an alternative and more powerful Symantec solution, popular with small and large organizations alike, Symantec System Recovery 2013. You are invited to try a complimentary 60-day trial of SSR 2013 here:

We’d like to invite you as a valued Norton Ghost user to share your favorite Ghost story with us by creating a new topic in this board. Thank you for all your loyalty and support during the past 15 years.
