With 2 identical Vista64 PCs both running NIS2012, both originally set up with (identically-passworded) local NIS-IDS logins (I would carry the IDs on a dongle & import periodically from PC1 to PC2).  Want to move online & sync.  Having trouble with various passwords:

PC1:  insisted on a stronger pw when moving online.  Unclear whether that is a new Norton acct pw or merely IDS access pw - but apparently the latter, as I can still login to my Norton acct variously using old Norton PW.

PC2:  while I can "log in to Norton account" with old PW via web bar, the NIS instance when attempting to change NIS-IDS profile asks for Norton PW and rejects same.  Also rejects the new NIS-IDS pw, which I tried in case it's a botched instruction.  Yet - I can login from PC2 to my Norton acct online (old pw); from whence I can view IDS entries from PC1 using new  IDS pw.

Totally confused.  How do I get these things to talk to each other?

Identical username on both machines, of course.

How Online Vault Works is:-

1) From Machine 1 you can move your Local Vault to Online.

For ex:- Your Norton Account crdentials are:-    x@gg.com,      Password:- symantec

2) During Move if your Local Profile or Vault has a weak or Medium Password then you will asked to provide a Strong Password for Online Vault.    

For example:- Your Online Vault Password is Gedt@123

3) Your Norton Account Password will not change it  will still remain the same, the strong password you gave is for the new

     Online Vault you created after move operation in Machine 1.

4) Now all your Local Vault contents will be moved to Online in Machine 1.

5) From Machine 2, Login to same Norton Account and later you will be asked to enter the Strong Password which

     you created in Step 2.

6) All contents you had moved in Machine 1 will be displayed in Machine 2.

The fundamental problem is that PC2 refuses to login to same Norton acct with same credentials.

I use PC1/PC2 simultaneously via LogMeIn.  Is my problem so simple as prohibition of two simultaneous logins with same creds?
