Better than Lastpass?

From what I can see so far, this application appears to offer very similar features to the free version of Lastpass. However, lastpass gives the option of storing a local copy of the shared data on a PC, and for a $1 a month subscription, gives the option of storing local copies on an Android or iOS phone, and the ability to run the application from a thumb drive and access the data on a third-party PC.

Am I missing something?

Re: Better than Lastpass?

Hi Jeff,

Our goal is not only to have feature parity with competitive products but also to allow our users to surf the web more safely. We've included our Safe Search and Safe Web features in our Public Beta and will continue to add in more exciting features in the coming months.

Thank you for your feedback on wanting a local copy feature. We are constantly evaluating what features to implement and the security implication for them.

Re: Better than Lastpass?

When I'm traveling and have to use someone else's PC, I'm always concerned about keystroke loggers. I have my ancient password keeper on a thumb drive, together with a local copy of the password database. I can just insert my thumb drive, run the application from the thumbdrive (it can run without installing anything) and then I copy and paste the URL and my log in information, so it is very unlikely that my information will be stolen (not impossible, but unlikely). Lastpass gives me a different option that I am exploring - I can run a stand-alone browser on the thumb drive and use that to both access the Web and use the information from the local copy of the database on the thumb drive. This should be even more secure, but I'm still testing it.

Hi,

a local copy feature [for logins] would be a big improvement!

Cheers,
Jo
