Identity Safe Missing

I had been using Identity Safe for several months with Firefox 3.6 (cannot upgrade just yet due to school systems not compatiable) and Windows did a critical update and now my Identity Safe is not opening when starting a session. I have double checked all my settings and they are correct.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Identity Safe Missing

Pam,

Can you say what Norton Product you are using, its Version ID (Support / About in the format nn.nn.nn.nnn  where n is a number) and what version of Windows you are using (including the Service Pack and whether 32 bit or 64 bit -- if you check System Information and it does not say 64 bit then you are using 32 bit)

This Forum is for the free standing Identity Safe that is in public beta so if you are using the one that is built into NIS or N360 we can get your message moved there for better exposure.

You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.

Re: Identity Safe Missing

Hi Pam,

Mozilla has announced that they will official stop supporting Firefox 3.6 on April 24th:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise/Firefox/ExtendedSupport:Proposal

Due to this we have changed our Firefox support to only the latest 3 versions of Firefox (currently v9, 10, 11). Please make sure that your school IT is aware of this change. If they do not want to test changes every 6 weeks they will need to adopt the Extended Support Release build (currently v10.0.1) going forward as Mozilla will no longer support 3.6 soon.

Up until your school makes a newer version of Firefox available you can access your Identity Safe from either Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. Hope this helps.
