Booted up my 2nd PC about 10 mins ago and ran Live Update. D/L 11 updates. After that was done I checked my version and it shows 18.5.0.125. Was the updated patch released sometime today? No problems so far.

Hello Aviator327,
Was this the first time you have rebooted since Thursday?

Is the issue fixed for Norton 360 v5 Beta?

Hi BorisVasilev22,
It might be best to ask this question in the N360 Beta Board.

Affirmative. The last time I used my #2 PC was Wed, 8 Dec. When I booted up this morning on my #1 PC it still showed ver 18.1.
I didn.t check the version when I switched PC's around 1345 EST. I did a normal shutdown on #2 and no problems. Ran a quick scan,-OK. Everything appears to be working correctly so far.

Tim,
I'm one of the lucky ones who never had the crashing problem with 18.5 but I'm still relieved to know that the problem has been nailed down and corrected. However, it was only after wading through this thread and by chance reading your message that I discovered that the fix had been pushed out yesterday.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to mark your message and this thread as "solved" so that others might more easily find your message concerning the Norton 2011 SRTSP Settings file. That might help sooth a frayed nerve or two. ![]()
Thanks,
--Ron
Edit:After posting this message I see that you had appended the 18.5 announcement message in HOT ISSUES AND HOT FIXES with info about the fix. So, as Emily would, say, nevermind. ![]()
What am I thinking about right now?
