Old problem (at least for all 2012 line).
If separating char for thousands is " " (space) not typical ",", than we see thousands and hundreds of one nubmer on the different strings as posted bellow:
Was reported earlier (moths ago). new engine 19.5 have the same view.

Hi Niko233:
Good QC job! ![]()
Details are important!
I have reported it to Symantec's technical staff via PM for their action.
Many thanks,

Hi Niko233,
I have seen comma separator in Details scan window and have NIS 2012 19.5.0.145
I have attached screen shot for reference.
Can you check this issue after changing your system settings: Control Panel->Region and language-> Additional settings or customize -> Digit grouping Symbol, Change this to comma separator. Attached for reference
If you give space in Digit grouping Symbol, Then details in scan will be displayed without comma.
Attached screen shot for reference
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Senthil

Hi senthilkumar
That's right, but when you click on the plus sign (+) next to the 'Total items scanned' entry in the Results Summary, then the problem manifests. Looking closely at Niko233 's opening screenshot, the 'Files & Directories' section shows a value of 661. The real value is actually 588 661. The 'space' value for the Digit Grouping Symbol is causing line-truncation if the value is greater than 999; so what we are seeing is 588 (thousands) being written to a blank line, with the remainder being recorded against the actual scanned item category. This behaviour repeats itself throughout the rest of the 'Total items scanned' section.
Original beta confirmation details of the root cause for this issue are shown below:
NIS 2012 B1_28 Customise Number Format - Windows 7:
http://community.norton.com/t5/media/gallerypage/u
NIS 2012 B1_28 Quick Scan - Digit Grouping set to Space:
http://community.norton.com/t5/media/gallerypage/u
At this stage, we are are wondering if this issue is actually being tracked in your system. The expected behaviour, after all, is that the value of the Digit Grouping Symbol should have no impact on the presentation of the detailed information in the Scan Results Summary.

Hi Elsewhere,
I think, I understood the problem, If scanned items count crossed 999, then it displaying in different line instead of same line with spaces e.g. 1
217
Thanks for reporting the issue and we are tracking with a defect
Thanks,
Senthil

senthilkumar, window all (detailed too) items looks normally if to change digit grouping symbol from " " to ",".
For me it is only for test purpose. For now I swith to " " again, as for me it is better looking and understandable (I am not from USA) and it looks like in the first snap in this topic again.
Now question: do you think that only several persons in the world uses that "non-standard/USA" symbol " "? ;)
If "yes", may be that no need to be fixed, isn't it?
..and wow! digit groping symbol setting reset - resets displays manner of Norton's window.
What I've done:
was " "
I set it up to ","
quick scan,
and set it back to " "
and... now it is normal! (I do not expect this):
Will see that will be after Windows restart...
this message will be edited to renew that information
EDIT: Yes, confirmed good-looking UI after restart too. strange thing... digit grouping symbol setting was need to be reset...
Does other people have that problem solved as me?
EDIT2: Problem solved for my WinXP Pro SP3 32bit
[edit: Added edit.]

Hi Niko233
Thanks for the instructions above. I tested this on both a Vista and a Windows 7 machine. Unfortunately, I'm still seeing the problem.

Hi Niko233:
Unresolved for now.
Have patience. ![]()
Senthilkumar is working the problem as posted above.
If the issue isn't corrected in a couple of weeks you can post back here for a status. I will also monitor this thread.
Cheers!
