yes i have 2 instances of ccSvcHst.exe running in taskmanager.
This is recent appeared to occur just today.
1 is ccSvcHst.exe User
2 is ccSvcHst.exe System
in that order.
Is one of these a fake?
Some how this is also affecting my monitor causing it to shut down to standby mode.
Any thoughts?

Hi getalittlehalp,
The two instances of ccSvcHst.exe that you report are both supposed to be running, so this is normal and expected. This being the case, it is unlikely that this is related to the problems you are having with your monitor.

Your right it was a heckuva bug that was shutting down my monitor so it was something malewarebytes and nav missed.
Not only was it able to turn off my windows firewall it changed my primary boot device to my lan card and turned my graphics card off so i couldnt even navigate in safe mode.
In the end it had changed my jumper settings, bios and told me at the startup screen i had no cpu installed
and in the end prevented power to all systems.
Worst virus/trojan i ever had since becoming a norton customer.(5 years now)
A friend got my pc up and running for dinner and movie.
Got to say im really and seriously getting more and more disappointed with
nortons failing systems of protection and detection.

I never heard of such a virus. It does not sound like a virus more a hardware issue.

How do you know it was a virus?
A friend got my pc up and running for dinner and movie.
What did you friend do to resolve the issue?

I found this an interesting article:
heverly-nortoncase com
The actual court case records gives interesting testimony
by symantec attorneys and plaintiff attorneys.
Its one of the reasons i dont really trust symantec their employees and zealous advocates.
BTW is there an option on this site to give negative "kudos"?
If the "expert" says its a hardware issue just what hardware on my machine was responsible
for my "troubles"?
If the "expert" is an "expert" he/she should have enough pride to
expound on an explanation.

it sounds like your motherboard is giving out. with your computer being custom built 7 years old im not really surprised this is starting to happen. you should be able to debug this issue and tell its a hardware issue if your advanced enough to built you own computer.
the link you give to the legal thing has nothing to do with this post.
yoru boot order can only be changed in bios. if youre seeing it change then something is happening outside of the software and is in the hardware.
nortons won't protect you from motherboards failing and hardware thats getting old. dont be so quick to point fingers
all of the things you talked about point to hardware issues. if you dont believe us go find a hardware forum and ask them.
