Hi,
When will Norton Internet Security support 64 bit Internet Explorer (in any version)?
64 bit Internet Explorer is now standard with Windows 7 which most users are using now or will be in the near future. The fact
that NIS 2011 does not support 64 bit IE is not clear or easily seen on the Symantec website. 32 bit only is mentioned, but in reference to IE6. It is unclear whether 64 bit is supported for later versions of IE. Therefore, I suspect that most customers assume 64 bit IE is supported and that they are protected. This is a disaster beyond all proportions! Customers using 64 bit IE who assume it is supported are wide open for virus attacks! NIS is useless if it does not support 64 bit IE. No one can use 64 bit IE which should be faster.

My understanding is that although IE 64 bit comes with WIndows 7 64 bit versions so does the IE 32 bit and the 32 bit is the default when WIndows 7 installs -- Microsoft do not recommend using IE 64 at present.
However hang on for any news about full support -- Norton works with 64 bit Windows in its security functions -- and meanwhile check out the public beta forum here for NIS/NAV2012 which has started recently.

How can you tell whether you have 64 bit or 32 bit installed on your PC? I got my IE 9 through a Tuesday update.
