A2Uploader - False Positive

Hi there,

I have a program on my pc, A2Uploader, that I know is harmless, yet still it is being flasgged as a virus. I have excluded it from auto-protect and scans, but it's rather cumbersome if you want to copy it somewhere else (e.g. while making a back-up)

The program creator is aware of any false positives, as he uses a special encryption method to protect the program from its loaders being sniffed. A2Uploader is a program that allows the A200 platform Sony Ericsson phones to be modded.

Please Symantec, add this file to the safe programs :)

Re: A2Uploader - False Positive

Hello Corman

Welcome to the Norton Users Discussion Forum

What Norton product do you have installed now and what version number is it.? If you have a file which you think is a false positive, you may do the following.

Please use this link if you think that a file is a false positive: https://submit.symantec.com/dispute/false_positive/

If there is a possibility that the file might be infected, please submit it to Symantec using this link:

Another alternative which is fast you can use Threat Expert:

(Thanks to Yaso for providing the links)

They will do further analysis on the file and if necessary, they can adjust their definitions. Please let us know if this will help your situation.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

Re: A2Uploader - False Positive

Thanks for the links :). I filled in as accurate as possible, but I am not the vendor of the program - is that a problem?
