I have tried many ways to contact norton about this issue without success...
I keep getting a red cross saying my auto protect is off and when i click FIX it say fix didnt work....
Just about to blow a gasket with it...anyone help please!!!
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and then reboot, fixes it for a second and then back to square one...can anyone tell me a phone number to call in AUstralia where I can talk to a real person for live help???

Check that the time and date are correct on your system.
Did you ever have any other security software installed on your computer? If so it will need to be fully removed with that product's removal tool.
Have you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available?

If you are referring to this page, you need to click on the arrow circled in red.
You will probably be guided to reinstall your product. You can try that your self first, and if it does not work, try to contact Chat again.
Download the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool from here www.norton.com/nrnr
If you use Identity Safe, backup/export your data.
Run the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.
Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Import your Identity Safe data.
