Hi -

I have two NIS 2010 3PC subscriptions. One with 3 activations is about to expire in 6 days. The other, with two remaining activations, is good until November.

Can I use the remaining 2 November-expiring activations to reactivate the two that are going to expire next week? If so, do I have to uninstall and reinstall, or is there a way of entering the later expiring product key without reinstalling?

Hi davebyrnes,

You can use the two remaining free activations to reactivate your two subscriptions. You can do so by typing in the product key of said remaining activations into NIS 2010 - there's no need to uninstall or reinstall anything :-) For instructions on how to do so, please have a look at Wikipedian's post over here:

Also, please wait until a day or two before your current subscription expires (do not let your subscription expire completely!) - as you will be using a different product key to extend the subscription, days remaining from the old subscription will not be added to the new one. Also, the activations are dependent on the time you FIRST activated your Norton product, so when you renew your two subscriptions, they will go till November.

You should not need to uninstall anything.  Simply click the Express Renewal button in the bottom corner of the main Norton window and enter the Product Key for the remaining unused activations.  Note that the subscription for all of your installations will expire in November.
