I edit myself re MBAM as Quads just informed me ...Hijackthis cannot point to Free or Pro for SAS as both have startup items....so, must follow for MBAM....

AFAIK XP SP2 SUPPORT WILL EXPIRE 7/13/2010!

I have posted my problem at BleepingComputer. Not sure how long it will take to get a reply as they seem to be quite busy.

At this point I ran norton bootable recovery...which found nothing. But I checked my attack logs from norton and I get attacked about every minute. Sometimes more.

In rereading the thread I notice that you have not said what the attacking entries consist of.  That could be helpful.

You need to get the help of www.bleepingcomputer.com

- removing rootkits is tricky and difficult, and requires a person to person sort of communication offered by the forum of bleepingcomputer, not an open one like this.

Just follow their directions and you will be fine :-)

I know :-) But the OP did ask how to fix it, so I answered :-)

Which reminds me - Please mention in your thread at bleeping computer that you have a TDL3/TDL4 infection so that they can proceed accordingly :-)
